Yesterday was a sad say for Angels fans as Bill Stoneman announced that he was stepping down as GM of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.
According to the AP: Bill Stoneman, who built the Angels’ only World Series championship team, is expected to step down after eight years as general manager.
The Angels called a news conference for Tuesday morning for what they described as a major announcement.

Multiple media reports said Stoneman will remain with the organization as a consultant.
The Los Angeles Times reported on its Web site that Tony Reagins, the Angels’ director of player development, is expected to become the new GM.
The Times said two sources confirmed that the upcoming announcement involved Stoneman, but did not identify the sources.
