Nationals Opening Day Tickets Sell Out in 6 Minutes…
Although the Washington Nationals are really not expected to make a dent in the NL East, their first Opening Day at Nationals Park was a popular ticket, selling out only 6 minutes.
From the looks of it, the demand was akin to a hot concert or a game that could not be missed…
From the DC Sports Box: …Kasten (team president) indicated that opening day sold out in six minutes when tickets were open to the general public Tuesday morning, comparing it to “a Springsteen concert”. That number was tempered a bit by the news that just 4,000 tickets were made available to non-ticket package holders. He also indicated that opening day tickets were still being held for anyone wishing to purchase full- or half- season plans yet.
Wow! The Nationals take on Braves at their new park on March 31st and the game will be broadcast on ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball.
