‘Round the Bases…

* Outfielder Corey Patterson and infielder Jerry Hairston Jr., agreed to minor league contracts with the Cincinnati Reds yesterday.

* Here’s some sad news: 1st base coach for the Phillies, Davey Lopes has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. It sounds like it was caught early and he should be in the swing of things in about 6 weeks.

* Alfonso Soriano will miss a few days after fracturing his middle finger in practice.
