‘Round the Bases…

* The Braves activated infielder Omar Infante from the disabled list to start on Thursday and placed catcher Brayan Pena on the 15-day disabled list with a sprained back.

* Pedro Martinez is scheduled to throw a side session on Friday in Florida, another step in the pitcher’s rehabilitation from a strained left hamstring.

* Cardinals starter Mark Mulder has a mild rotator cuff strain of his left shoulder, causing St. Louis to stop his injury rehabilitation assignment.

* Pirates shortstop Jack Wilson will remain out of the lineup for at least two more weeks with a strained left calf that has sidelined him for all but three games.
