Troy Tulowitzki Signed To Record Extension
by
The Rockies yesterday signed uber-rookie Troy Tulowitzki to a record-breaking extension for a second year player. After his amazing year in Colorado, the Rockies were so confident in his ability that he was signed a $31 million, six-year contract on Wednesday that includes a club option for 2014.
Granted, it is a lot of money; however, if he continues to put up the same numbers or better, this will be not be a bargain, but one of the smartest moves ever made in baseball. There’s always a risk with these deals, but someone who’s got the tools and ability like Troy, it’s one worth taking.
He’s now one rich kid, but congrats Troy.
